Welcome to Debora Macy Tutoring Services! Established as an educational service dedicated to providing high-quality tutoring services to students of all ages and backgrounds. As a highly qualified credentialed teacher and specialized Orton Gillingham tutor, Debora continues to help students achieve their academic goals and unlock their full potential.
Debora has been teaching since 2008 and has a M.S. degree and credentials in Elementary classroom education, a M.A. and credentials in Special Education, and a secondary English Language arts credential for middle and high school.
Because of Debora's concern for students who struggle with reading, she has completed 30 hours of Orton Gillingham teacher training through the Institute for Multi Sensory Education and 60 hours in the Associate certificate program through Reed Institute, which is specialized in training teachers and tutors to teach students with dyslexia.
Dyslexia information resources are available for families at the International Dyslexia Association website (IDA) which Debora Is a member of as well as the Northern California branch of IDA.
